even before we moved to Spain we were never inclined to pay a premium for a branded product. look at the young idiots who having been brainwashed extensively, will only buy the outrageously priced Nike/Addidas etc.

I take issue with the article on one point only - very often there is absolutely no difference between branded and &#039;own label&#039; except in the label itself and that came from someone who is involved in trade purchasing.

Why buy  Don Simon products when Lidls sell much better quality Gazpacho and cheaper too. Same goes for beer. I much prefer German beer to Spanish anyway and they are cheaper than Dia, whose quality just does&#039;nt match Lidls in most products.

BTW buy any of the tools and electrical products from Lidls - they are excellant quality and carry 3 year guarantees.

In the UK I know people who do virtually all their shopping at Lidls and save about £150 a month for a 4 person family.</description>
