Keen to go green
November 25, 2009 • Andalucia, Malaga • 1 Comments
A NEW deal has been struck between Repsol and Fuengirola town hall to make its vehicle fleet more eco-friendly.
Some 17 vehicles will be converted from petrol to the cleaner fuel, Autogas, the name for liquefied petroleum gas.
The conversion costs will be paid by Repsol and as part of the agreement the town hall will have to add another five Autogas vehicles within the next two years.
Fuengirola mayor Esperanza Ona said she aimed to have a cleaner fleet of vehicles that create less pollution.
Another advantage of Autogas vehicles is that they are cheaper to maintain and the cost of Autogas is around 30 per cent less than other fuels.

Yes, this is all good, but where can the general public buy autogas in Fuengirola? I drive a car on autogas in the U.K. but can’t bring it to Spain as I have not seen any fuel stations that sell it! Can you help, please?
