Flood relief
March 9, 2010 • Andalucia, Lead2, National News • 1 Comments
FLOOD victims in Andalucia are set to receive more aid, the government announced last week.
Deputy Prime Minister Maria Teresa Fernandez de la Vega said help from the Junta will be doubled by the national government.
Rain has cost agriculture more than one billion euros and families have been forced to abandon their homes after the devastating weather.
The latest aid proposals mean families who lost a property will receive 15,120 euros and 10,320 euros for structural repairs.
Up to 5,160 euros can be awarded for other damage, while personal belongings lost will be covered up to 2,580 euros.
