A WOMAN sent to prison for the murder of a teenager has been completely absolved of the crime.

Dolores Vázquez, who served 17 months for the 1999 murder of Mijas teenager, Rocio Wanninkhof, 19, has had her case files annulled.

The businesswoman – who was the lesbian lover of the dead girl’s mother – is now exonerated of the crime.

Vazquez has been tried twice for the murder of the girl, whose body was found dumped in the grounds of a tennis club, near Marbella.

She had been sexually assaulted and it later emerged that British barman Tony King had killed her.

But, while he was found guilty of the crime and sent to prison, he always insisted he did it with the help of Vazquez and his former boss Robbie Graham, a timeshare salesman.

At his trial last year, the Judge ruled that while he was indeed guilty, it was likely that he killed Wanninkhof with the help of others.

Vázquez is still awaiting compensation.

She has asked for four million euros but so far the Ministry for Justice has only offered her 120,000 euros.
