A mother who took two grams of cocaine and hashish to her son in prison has had her nine year sentence overturned.
The Supreme Court freed the Barcelona woman who took the drugs “because he (her son) had been having a hard time for days”.
The court recognized the difficulty of being a mother with a drug addict son and reduced the February 2009 sentence handed down from the Barcelona Provincial Court.
The new 18 month suspended sentence means the woman will have no criminal record.
