• NOT LEAVING: Bentley will stay with Tottenham |
EXCLUSIVE by Paul O’Connell
SPURS star David Bentley has told the Olive Press he is not leaving Tottenham this summer.
The owner of Buddha Beach Club, in Marbella, has denied reports that he is planning a move to Aston Villa.
“I am staying put and looking forward to having a crack at the Champions League with Spurs,” he said over a beer at his beachside club, that he part owns with Ian Radford.
The footballer, who has been in Marbella for over a month, added: “I’ve had a great time down here this summer and am sad to have to go back for pre-season training.”
