THE Gibraltar government has been forced to make a public apology to Spain following an incident involving two policemen in San Roque.
The two Royal Gibraltar Detectives illegally searched a house in the border town after a robbery took place in Gibraltar.
Even worse, they seized evidence without permission from the Spanish authorities.
Following a complaint from the Spanish Foreign Minister, the Gibraltar Government has now admitted that its agents did not follow “the established procedures”.
According to Gibraltar First Minister, Peter Caruana, the incident was “regrettable”. He said: “The Gibraltar police have acted improperly.”
