Pongs make prizes in the TRE Cudeca telethon

By Eloise Horsfield

A TWO-kilo Stilton cheese is the latest prize up for grabs in the TRE charity telethon for Cudeca next month.

It is one of already 85 prizes that have already been offered in the annual charity event, being supported by the Olive Press.

Listeners can also now bid for former England captain Billy Wright’s cap and win green fees for golf courses including Finca Cortesin and La Zagaleta.

“We’ve got 85 out of the 100 prizes now, so it looks like we’ll hit our target,” said Steve Gilmour, CEO of the Costa del Sol-based radio station.

The Olive Press is TRE’s exclusive newspaper partner for the event, which last year raised over 26,000 euros.

To take part, listeners should tune in between 10am and 7pm on December 2, and can also bid for prizes in advance at www.tretelethon.com from November 18.
