INFAMOUS Granada developer Tomas Olivo has been acquitted for crimes against the treasury.

The businessman, who has previously been found guilty of domestic violence and land use violations, has been found not guilty of tax evasion after signing work contracts with Marbella Town Hall.

He faced two-and-a half years prison and a fine of three million euros for the offence.

However the judge presiding over the case has now ruled there is no proof of tax fraud.
