Binmen strike in Jerez

THIS is what it looks like when the binmen go on strike.

A thousand tonnes of rubbish has collected on the streets of Jerez following 11 days of strikes by refuse firm Urbaser.

The company is objecting to the 20% of cuts to be made to the sector in 2013 by the bankrupt town hall.

Now the Junta has stepped in to assist with talks, which are ongoing.
