Spain most accepting of homosexuality

AS gay rights issues are gaining attention worldwide, the disparities in opinions are becoming increasingly clear.

Pew Research Center released a survey today of the opinions on homosexuality of populations of 39 countries across the world.

According to the study, Spain is the country most accepting of homosexuality.

Though Europeans have the most generally positive views of homosexuality, Spain stands out as the most accepting, with 88 percent of people saying it should be accepted by society.

Reflecting the views of most of Europe is the Oxford English Dictionary, which will change its definition of marriage to include same sex couples within the next year.

Germany and the Czech Republic are also remarkable positive towards homosexuality, while African nations are predominately negative.
