UK and Gibraltar in ‘lockstep’ says Hague

William Hague c

THE UK Foreign Secretary William Hague has strongly backed Gibraltar over its current fallout with Spain.

It comes after Gibraltar’s First Minister Fabian Picardo met with him in London over the issue of sovereignty .

“William Hague has long been a good and close friend of Gibraltar,” said Picardo.

“He reaffirmed the UK government’s commitment to Gibraltar and its people during the course of our meeting.

“It is clear that the governments remain in lockstep in respect of all the current issues.”
