Real Madrid target Stoke City keeper Begovic

REAL Madrid have line up Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic as a summer transfer target.

The potters are prepared to battle to keep the Bosnian though, valued at £15 million.

The Spanish giants, currently top of La Liga by three points, are lining up a replacement for Diego Lopez who looks set for AC Milan after this summer’s world cup in Brazil.

Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of Begovic, 26, as he tried to sign him twice while manager of Chelsea. But he will face competition from both Manchester United and Manchester City should Stoke boss Mark Hughes decide to let him go.

Begovic first has the task of stopping Argentina, Nigeria and Iran finding the back of the net in Bosnia’s world cup group.
