Rafael Nadal ousted by underdog Milos Kyrgios in 4th round of Wimbledon

NUMBER one tennis pro and Spanish native Rafael Nadal lost to 19-year-old Nick Kyrgios in the fourth round of Wimbledon.

Following Spain’s heartbreaking elimination from the World Cup, Nadal was Spain’s last chance at winning a tournament this summer, as both Tommy Robredo and Feliciano Lopez also lost in the Round of 16.

Nadal – who saw early defeats in both 2012 and 2013 – can’t seem to catch a break on Wimbledon’s quick grass courts.

Kyrgios – who is making his Wimbledon debut – is the first player ranked outside of the top 100 to beat a world number one since 1992.

The tournament’s newbie will now face Canadian Milos Raonic in the quarterfinals, alongside big names like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and the defending champion, Great Britain’s own Andy Murray.
