Imogen CalderwoodPRINCESS Cristina could now face trial as tax fraud charges against her have been upheld by the Palma de Mallorca high court.
The court has, however, dropped the money-laundering charges that were against her.
The charges upheld against the Infanta – the sister of King Felipe VI – relate to business dealings by her husband, Inaki Urdangarin.
Judges have been investigating allegations that the princess’ husband embezzled millions in public funds with a former business partner.
The court has also ruled that the princess had knowingly benefitted from the dealings.
Her lawyers, however, added that they are completely convinced of her innocence.
What a surprise! “Her lawyers are convinced of her innocence”.
Won’t be long until the judge is too.
Have you no faith in the Spanish justice system at all Stefanjo?
Would that be in the form of a stuffed envelope (only alleging this IMO only) perhaps that convinced her lawyers, and would it also work on a Judge, I mean, Judges in Spain are honest aren’t they?
