Imogen CalderwoodFAMILIES will be flocking to the Sierra Nevada this season, as €3.1 million is invested in making the resort more family-friendly.
The promotional campaign – which is to be launched before the start of the season – is a joint action between the Cetura Sierra Nevada resort and the Andalucian tourist board.
Three new lifts, as well as the full renovation of two existing lifts, and a new website will be among the novelties of this winter season.
And as an added bonus, the price for a ski pass will remain the same for the fourth consecutive season.

Wow! If they would’ve increased it, that would go beyond ridiculous – Sierra isn’t that big and fancy ski resort, yet prices are already one of the highest in Europe.
Skied there last year for the first time. Great place to ski if you’re a novice. I have been skiing for more than 20 years and enjoyed the long runs and terrain.
What they really need to do is invest some of that money into the actual resort itself. The roads are awful, the barriers rotting, the metal steps broken and dangerous with no lighting at night. It really is a disgrace.
last year on the night of thye 3 Kings, even the small parador chair lift that takes most people up and down to the apartments and hotels was shut at 6pm!!
No service provided at all.
It seems that all they want is the continual money from the daily visitor and those that have actually invested in the resort by buying property are shafted all ways.
