Although losing out on the top spot in the FT’s European business school rankings for 2014, Spain is still home to three of the top 10 business schools in Europe.
Madrid’s IE Business School – top last year – has fallen to third place, followed by Barcelona’s ESADE Business School at number four and the University of Navarre’s IESE Business School in seventh place.
The rankings evaluate how international the institutions are, how quickly graduates advance in their careers, and students’ and businesses’ level of satisfaction.
London Business School came top in Europe – and is ranked third worldwide – followed by HEC Paris in second.
Just because Spain has a couple of half-decent business schools doesn’t make it “the place to do business”. Spain is in fact one of the most difficult and complicated jurisdictions to start and do business in, in the world.
Just shows how far apart theory and practice are in Spain.
