THE world’s most beautiful women battled it out in Miami for the title of Miss Universe last night.
While Miss Spain Desirée Cordero made it into the top ten, her Colombian peer Paulina Vega claimed the top prize.
Cordero, from Sevilla, was tipped as one of the favourites but unfortunately came up just short on the night.
Vega’s win keeps the Miss Universe crown in South America following last year’s Venezuelan winner Gabriela Isler.
