VALENCIAN politician Joan Baldovi, suffered a blackout while speaking about the state of the country this morning.

The former mayor of Sueca was forced to cut his speech short and needed medical care after becoming dizzy.

As a result the vice president of congress, Celia Villalobos, suspended the debate for five minutes while Baldovi received treatment.

Baldovi – who represents the Coalicio Compromis party – served as Sueca’s mayor from 2007.

He resigned from the council in January 2014, citing the difficulty of serving as a local and national politician simultaneously.
