TOURISTS visiting Spain are more likely to splash their cash in clothing stores than anywhere else.
A massive 59% of all purchases made by tourists visiting Spain’s shores are made in retail stores, according to the Business Association of Textile Trade and Accessories.
Meanwhile 15% of purchases are made on watches and jewellery, 13 in department stores, 4% on electronics and 3% on sports goods.

none on Booze and fags? Hard to credit
I am surprised because clothes are not good value or much choice. Spain either caters for the very young, as in Zara or a lot of 80’s style clothes for the over fifties.
When I come over for a I only bring a holdall with the main items in, I do not pay for hold luggage, with what I save I buy clothes, I find some shops as cheap as Matalan save me lugging suitcases also.
