Brad-Pitt-and-Angelina-JolieTHEY have been sniffing around in Spain for years, and now Brangelina look set to make an Alicante purchase.

The power couple nearly bought a property in Marbella in 2013 to add to their portfolio which includes private estates in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and France.

And now it seems they are ready to take the plunge, favouring the area of Los Montesinos in Alicante’s Vega Baja.

The news come from local Alicante press which believes David Beckham is to thank for their choice of location.

Beckham, who has a close relationship with Pitt, 51, may have recommended the Alicante area, according to author Andrew Atkinson who wrote ‘David Beckham-In At the Deep End’.

Mother-of-six Jolie, 39, has been dropping hints for years about a Spanish purchase being on the cards.

Los Montesinos is a secluded spot is a 15-minute drive from the beach and 10 minutes from Torrevieja, the small, sunny Costa Blanca town.

We are waiting with baited breath for more updates from the local press…

  1. It does smack of desperation as you say Bryan, Torrevieja is where enormous unsaleable housing estates are, I’d be very surprised if they bought anywhere near that area.

    ‘It’s the Pits!’ Lol

UK beat Spain to it though, they’ve already bought a £10 million pad in London which will no doubt increase in value too.

  2. Torrevieja – was once a very pretty little fishing village (like a lot of other places on Spain’s Med coast) now it’s a hell hole. If you get your car stolen once your damn lucky, same goes for break-ins. A friend took us there and I still don’t know why instead of visiting a small mountain village inland, where she had a friend who had had her car stolen 4 times and was used to burglars romping across her roof.

She took us to a bar where there were no Spanish and the Irish barmaid (been in Spain 6 months) spoke not a word of Spanish and was shocked that I spoke to her in Spanish. Demanded to be paid immediately – “we are in Spain” – “but your not Spanish” – “shall I call the Guardia”. Young British hookers looking to serve the old men.

The atmosphere was like being back in the UK – totally depressing. Her husband was severely handicapped and when asked to remove obstacles so that he could use the toilet was told to F/O – yes I’m sure that Brad and Angie want to buy a home near there.

Last I heard they were happy living in France and had no intention of moving anywhere else and were happy that their children were being educated in France, indeed they own a vineyard and are deeply involved in the making of wine.

  3. Quote ‘no intention of moving anywhere else’ so that’s why they have homes in LA, New York, London, and selling their New Orleans home (hurricane damage), and they’re just the ones we know about??? I wonder if they’d like the communist lifestyle? Lol

  4. Mike,
communist lifestyle – where does that come from – too much wacky baccy methinks. Yes they have houses all over the place but they have a ‘home’ in France. they don’t produce vin rouge but a vin blanc which is highly rated – how come you did’nt know that.

  5. Again you can’t see a joke right in front of you, as for wacky baccy, ‘deeply involved in wine making’? Lol Do you think they tread grapes in between making multi million $ films and ambassadorial missions as well as spending time in all their other properties? No they use Marc Perrin and his family winemakers to do all that and produce a Miraval Rose as well don’t you know, you do realise they didn’t start the vineyard from scratch twas already there Lol
