A 63-YEAR-OLD MAN was gored through the heart as Spain’s summer of bull madness claimed a 12th victim on Sunday.
The grim statistic makes 2015 the bloodiest year for bull-related deaths this century.
The man was killed at Spain’s oldest bull-running festival in Cuellar, a one and a half hour drive north of Madrid.
Video footage captured the moment he was struck by the huge animal and dragged several metres.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at a first aid point.
Authorities said the man was on holiday from the Basque Country and was visiting relatives.

I do not agree with Bull running and Bull fighting but to gloat over the deaths of 12 people is even sicker,,, keyboard warriors indeed,,,,
Seamus, do please explain where the gloating in my reply is. It is not gloating to say that if you partake in such dangerous activities, you may die by them – it is just a fact. What a terrible waste of life this was.
Playing tag with a bull is like playing catch with a knife. If you are dumb enough to try it, the risk is completely on you … and Darwin.
Twelve people die running about with the bulls, in fiestas which are understood to be dangerous, but presumably fun (otherwise, why bother?). Men like doing dangerous things occasionally, driving too fast, sky-diving, jumping off hotel terraces and bull-running. A few will be killed. But, how about swimming? 150 drowned in Spain between July 1st and August 15th. Ban swimming? Or let people get on with their own decisions – foolish or otherwise.
By the way, no one has died in a bullfight so far this year. Does that make them safe?
Of course, with the Brits, it’s not about the danger, or the potential loss of life for the humans, it’s always about the animals.
A tip for ISIS when they come after us – wear a small puppy strapped to your chest – we won’t dare shoot!
