FIVE months after the brutal double murder of an Alicante expat couple,a Moroccan  man has been arrested.

A firearm was found at the suspect’s home but he is yet to be charged.

British expats David and Jean Tarsey, both 77, were shot dead in each other’s arms in their villa and left to be found by friends they were expecting for lunch in March this year.

The couple had been living in their Xalo villa, near Benidorm, for 18 years but were planning to sell it to spend more time with their family.

The couple were originally from London and David Tarsey swam for Britain at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics.

  1. What a despicable act. It has been reported elsewhere that the Tarsey’s were selling because they had been burgled at the property multiple times prior to this. Burglaries in the campo are commonplace now; get an alarm and a big dog. Let us also hope they have apprehended the correct person.
