COOL POOL: Canaveral de Leon’s town square is transformed into a swimming pool

THE heart of a tiny village in Huelva province has been turned into a summer oasis once more.

Every year, Canaveral de Leon’s town square is transformed into a natural pool after the plan was first mooted eight years ago.

Sourced from a nearby lagoon, the town’s 400 inhabitants now have use of an 8,000 square metre pool.
