ENGLAND fans are gearing up for their prestigious Friday night friendly with Spain.

Around 15,000 English supporters are expected at Alicante’s Estadio Jose Pico Perez for the match.

Record goalscorer Wayne Rooney will start on the bench as England manager Roy Hodgson opts for an experimental line-up.

Ross Barkley is expected to play in an advanced role.

With Jamie Vardy due to miss out too, Harry Kane is England’s only recognised striker.

Chelsea’s Diego Costa is due to start for Vicente Del Bosque’s side.

The game was originally scheduled for Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
