Citroen C4: Most sold car in Spain for the first eight months of 2015

SPANISH car sales leapt by a whopping 12% in January.

The year-on-year jump put Spain in second place behind only Italy in Europe, according to LMC Automotive.

The increase was part of an overall average rise of 5.8% across the continent, although experts warned the global economy could threaten sales throughout 2016.

“While the market is forecast to continue to grow for the third consecutive year, economic headwinds from outside Europe provide a downside risk,” said LMC Automotive analyst Emiliano Lewis.
