Rent prices on the rise as Spanish property market recovers

holiday rentals imageRENTERS are paying more for their digs across Spain as the country’s property market picks up.

The average price of house rentals has increased in every region apart from the Basque Country in the past 12 months.

The overall market increased by 4%, with prices in Catalunya rising the most by 11%.

Meanwhile rentals in Madrid increased 6.5% and in Andalucia 3.5%.

In the Basque Country, rented property was down 0.5% in price.
