la linea policeTHE deaths of an expat couple found dead in an Estepona apartment is reportedly being treated as a murder-suicide by police.

The couple – a 54-year-old Dutch woman and a Senegalese man in his 30s – were found by a friend who was due to take the woman to Malaga airport.

Spanish media is now reporting that the woman was found ‘practically beheaded’ while the man had a stab wound to the heart.

The bodies were allegedly found in separate rooms, leading investigators to believe that the man killed his partner and then took his own life.

The man also reportedly had wounds to his face and body which indicated his girlfriend fought back.

Several knives were also present at the scene as well as bloody footprints throughout the apartment.

  1. I think the issue of the UK retaining sovereignty is far more important than what we ‘expats’ want or have to work with if we leave.
Having been resident since 1988 (but here since 1985, it was harder to get residencia back then) I have no vote anyway, but I do think the UK should leave the party, before the ‘party’ disintegrates into bedlam, and things start falling apart.
Personally, I would ask for Spanish citizenship, and anybody who had been resident for the 15 years that negated voting, would be able to switch passports.

  2. You have kind of wandered into the wrong room John, no? But anyway, why haven’t you already taken the plunge and become a naturalized citizen? You’ve been living as one for almost thirty years. Were you keeping your options open? Wonder what your options will be after Brexit when even state pensions could be in the mix. You might be a wealthy person for all I know and not need any part of Blighty, or need health care, or any sort of state help. but there are plenty in Spain who aren’t so well off.
