THE Olive Press is launching a fund to help the family of Fatima Dorado Para, the mother-of-three tragically killed in a hit-and-run in Marbella.
The appeal will support her children and husband both on the Costa del Sol and in Bolivia.
Launched in conjunction with British expat Rachel Sutcliffe-Kenneally, we hope to raise €10,000 through a gofundme campaign.
Dorado was killed on May 9 when notorious Costa del Sol figure Westley Capper hit her with his Bentley in San Pedro.
Capper has now pleaded guilty and remains in Alhaurin prison, but that is little justice for the family.
“The aim of the fund is to help the family through this traumatic time,” Estepona-based makeup artist Sutcliffe-Keneally said. “I felt compelled to help in any way I could.
“Being a mother of two young children myself, this broke my heart and I knew I needed to do something.”
She added: “It is great to have the backing of the Olive Press, hopefully we can spread the word together.”
Dorado’s two eldest children live in Bolivia, while her husband has been left to care for their 12-month old baby in Marbella.
