Spain’s online gambling market soars following legalisation

Slot_machinesSPAIN´S online gambling market grew by almost one third in the first quarter of 2016, following last summer’s legalisation for online slots play.

Gross gaming revenue in the same period totalled €102.3m, up nearly 8% from the previous quarter, and up a staggering 32.1% from the same period last year.

Sports betting continued to dominate, capturing 50% of all online turnover and 57.3% of all revenue.

One of the most popular types of gambling was Matched betting, a technique used by individuals to profit from the free bets and incentives offered by bookmakers.

  1. Alcohol, smack, gambling – escape routes but of course they are’nt anything of the sort. Anyone remember when the Labour party were promoting super -casinos in the UK?
