WINNER: Daniel Rodriguez

AN openly gay man has won the Mr Spain competition for the first time in its history.

Daniel Rodriguez, 23, from Tenerife, beat out 47 other contestants to claim the title.

He will go on to represent Spain in the Mr World pageant after doing the customary rounds of TV chat show appearances.

Asked whether a gay man should be allowed to win the contest, Daniel said: “A homosexual can be as manly as a heterosexual.”

He added that he can easily seduce women, but that he chooses not to, for obvious reasons.

He credits sports, running and weight training for his physique.

The stud has been open with his family and friends all his life and has never hidden his sexuality.
