Ascot-inspired ladies day raises €2,500 for Costa del Sol children’s charity

Ladies day (2)A GROUP of expats have raised more than €2,500 for Costa del Sol children’s charity Aspandem.

Hosting an Ascot-inspired ladies day at The Heredian in La Heredia, owners Paul Smith and Ally McCormick said they were overwhelmed by people’s generosity.

“We jumped at the chance to raise money for a worthy cause,” Smith told the Olive Press. “Our original target was around €2,000 but local businesses and expat generosity was amazing.”

A cheque for €2,505 has now been presented to the mentally ill children’s charity based in San Pedro.
