RACIST, anti-religious and homophobic abuse incidents rose by 41% in the month after Brexit, new figures reveal.

Some 3,886 such crimes were reported in July 2015, climbing to 5,468 during the same month of this year.

The Home Office said the sharp increase declined in August but has ‘remained at a higher level than prior to the EU referendum’.

The total number of hate crimes in the year 2015-2016 was up 19% on last year, with 62,518 offences reported to the police.

Some 79% were motivated by race hate, 12% by sexual orientation, 7% by religion, 6% by disability and 1% were transgender hate crimes.

  1. these are RECORDED cases not cases that where taken into court and people charged or convicted, every police division has on its web page a form that you fill out on line to report cases of this nature, the form does not require you to identify yourself in any way shape or form, it does not require you to identify the victim or any witnesses, I does not require you to leave any contact details, so basically any one with a bit of malice and access to the internet can sit there all day and submit false reports all day long, you don’t think it happens????

  2. What would be the point Martin? Do you really believe that the National Front/BNP and Nazis by any other name, have gone away? No my friend, the filth is still among us and growing more confident with every day nearer signing that ridiculous document.

  3. Stefanjo— ”What would be the point Martin?”,,,,, well to falsely claim that the level of hate crimes has gone up since brexit for the press to print for one. ”Do you really believe that the National Front/BNP and Nazis by any other name, have gone away?”, no they haven’t gone away thank god!!!!!!! because there is no one else to highlight what is going on in ALL the major cities of Europe due to un-checked immigration.
