AN associate to one of the worlds most sought after criminals has been arrested following a raid last night.

The Guardia Civil, in collaboration with Europol, has arrested 11 Russians and raided 18 properties in Malaga with dozens of guns, cash and sports cars seized.

The Russians were members of the Solntsevskaya and Izmailovskaya gangs with links to the mafia in Moscow.

Leader of Solntsevskaya, Arnold Tamm was cuffed awaiting the slammer. Tamm is a close associate to Semion Mogilevich, a fat-cat criminal who’s been on the FBI’s most wanted list since 2009 after a $150 million fraud scam.

Both criminal organisations Solntsevskaya and Izmailovskaya used three institutions to launder €30 million including Marbella FC, Aguas Sierra de Mijas bottling plant, and Dama de Noche golf club.

The president Alexander Grinberg and vice-president German Pastushenko of Marbella FC have been detained, removing one of the main funnels for money laundering.
