A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a crash in Manilva this morning.

Guardia Civil confirmed the rider was travelling along the A-7 towards Sabinillas when it collided with a car on a roundabout near a repsol garage.

Passing drivers told the Olive Press this morning that a body had been wrapped and covered in sleeping bags under the metal railings on the side of the road.

Around a dozen locals and witnesses were safeguarding the injured body and some seven cars, thought to be witnesses awaiting police, had been lined up ahead and in front of the crash site.

A man was seen waving an invisibility jacket to alert other drivers.

Police and emergency services are now believed to be on the scene.
