THE heavy rainfall has caused several roads to collapse in Cadiz.

Towns like Medina Sidonia (right), have seen the asphalt on their roads fall through, leaving giant gaping holes.

The asphalts have collapsed after the storms ruptured water pipelines, causing landslides.

The Citroën Xsara became almost vertical when it nosedived into one of the holes.

Luckily the driver suffered no injuries and was able to get out of the vehicle on his own, although Policia Local and bomberos still rushed to the scene.

During the early hours of this morning firefighters in Cádiz made 30 departures as a result of incidents due to rain, 18 of them in Jerez de la Frontera.
