FOOTAGE has emerged of a tornado tearing through southern Spain earlier this week.

The column of swirling air ripped through greenhouses and crops in Ejido and El Alquian in Almeria on January 6.

The twister devastated some 150 hectares and caused €40 million worth of damage.

Many of the farmers had not started harvesting, so their economic losses will be greater. “All life fighting for nothing,” lamented a farmer in the video.

In the video you can see how the plastic sheets were detached from the structures and how several pieces of metal crawled on the floor at the screams of the neighbors.

“Look, look, look, look … It’s taking everything!” Shouted a man while recording with his phone.
