A 39-YEAR-OLD man has been diagnosed with meningitis after ingesting raw sheep’s cheese in Madrid.

The case has led to three different cheeses produced in Spain to be withdrawn from shelves.

Beltza, Txuria and Gutizia cheeses are made by the Oihan Txiki Koop group in San Sebastian.

If you have bought any of the deemed at risk cheeses, the government has advised you throw them away.

They are believed to have mainly been distributed in Madrid, Catalunya and the Basque.
