Thousands of Ryanair travellers could be left stranded as three-day strike in Spain starts TOMORROW

Ryanair
STRIKE: Cabin crews across Spain will stage a three-day walk out

THOUSANDS of Ryanair passengers travelling to and from Spain this week could see their holidays ruined amid a three-day strike.

The Spanish cabin crew walk outs are planned for tomorrow and January 10 and 13.

It comes after unions USO and Sitcpla could not reach an agreement with the budget airline.

Unions state that the strike will apply to all cabin crews across Spain.

The Spanish government has insisted all domestic flights and 35% of international services to and from mainland Spain with a flight time of less than five hours must operate.

Some 57% of routes to and from mainland Spain with a flight time of five hours or more must also run, officials insisted.

Despite the unions’ announcement, Ryanair said in a statement that all flights will run as normal tomorrow.

The statement read: “Due to the efforts of the Spanish Government minimum services regulator, and the support of our pilots and cabin crew in Spain, we expect to operate a full schedule of flights to/from (and within) Spain on 8 January.

“All passengers scheduled to fly should check in online as normal and arrive at their departure airport at least 2 hours prior to their time of scheduled departure.”

Travellers are advised to check the status of their flight online before travelling.

It comes after Ryanair was voted the worst UK airline for the sixth year running in Which?’s annual customer survey.

Out of almost 8,000 respondents, some 70% said they would never travel with Ryanair again.

  1. What with this and Gatwick before christmas you’d think brexit “No deal” had already happened. Of course if we cancel Brexit nothing like this will ever happen, all will be peace and love.
