IN PICS: Rainbows fill the skies after torrential rain on the Costa Blanca

EVERY cloud has a silver lining, as the saying goes.

But in the Marina Alta comarca on the Costa Blanca, a brief torrent of rain yesterday (Tuesday) left the limestone coastline bejewelled with rainbows from Pego to Moraira.

Social media became flooded with snaps as onlookers smiled through the rain towards one of nature’s rare treasures:

ROAD LESS TRAVELLED: Rainbows crowned the Cap d’Or, Moraira, as Olive Press reporter Joshua Parfitt got caught in yesterday’s downpour
PARADISE: “Great snap of a full rainbow over Javea just now!” wrote Gary Worthington on Javea Connect Facebook group
WINNER: One photographer’s heaven is a footballer’s hell, from the Que Passa a Pego social media group
RAINBOAT: “After polishing the Terranova [boat], we polished the rainbow!” wrote Pinautica Denia on Facebook
RAIN CHECK: “Nice picture in our club…a full rainbow…although after the storm we won’t be using the clay courts for a few days,” wrote Club de Tenis Denia.
