A MARBELLA restaurant owner and his girlfriend have been arrested on drug and money laundering charges.
Niko Ranta-aho, who is believed to own a popular restaurant in Puerto Banus, was cuffed alongside his bikini-model girlfriend and Instagrammer Sofia Belorfia, 29, in Finland on Tuesday.
According to respected Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, their luxury home in Marbella has also been raided.
A source told the Olive Press today that the property is in the upmarket Guadalmina, near San Pedro de Alcantara.
The pair, who reportedly met in London before ‘falling in love in Ibiza’, are being held in prison in Helsinki before being hauled in front of a judge tomorrow.
Following an investigation by Finnish authorities, police believe Belorfia began money laundering in 2018.
Ranta-aho, meanwhile, is accused of ‘serious drug and steroid offences’.
A serious drug offense is punishable by up to 10 years in Finland.
