Andalucia FUMING after map of Spain’s favourite beers labels them ‘Cruzcampo-drinkers’

LAGER ISSUE: Cruzcampo comes out on top in the south of Spain

A DATA company has compiled a graphic depicting a map of Spain showing the regions’ favourite Spanish beers – but some Andalucians aren’t happy with the results.

Data Centric created the graphic after conducting a survey with the public.

The graphic shows that Cruzcampo is the Andalucian’s preferred tipple, a beer rated just 1.9 of five on RateBeer.com.

Many of the southern Spaniards took to social media to vent their fury at the findings.

One user said: “Cruzcampo is only drunk in Sevilla, the rest of Andalucians drink Alhambra.”

Another said: “In Granada, we don’t drink piss.”

In other autonomous communities, Estrella de Galicia reigned supreme, being a favourite for Asturians, Cantabrians, Castilian-Leonese, Basques, Riojans, and Valencians.

Mahou was the biggest choice for Madrid and Castilla la Mancha.

Murcia opted for the Estrella de Levante brand, while the Catalans chose Estrella Damm, the Canaries to Dorada and the Aragonese went for Amber.
