There were also three tornadoes visible off the coast of Santa Ponsa, which dispersed before reaching land.

School has been cancelled in 19 municipalities until further notice, in Alaró, Estellencs, Puigpunyent, Esporles, Valldemossa, Deià, Bunyola, Sóller, Fornalutx, Escorca, Caimari, Campanet, Pollença, Alcúdia, Artà, Capdepera, Santa Margalida, Muro i Sa Pobla.

The north and northeast of Mallorca and the Serra de Tramuntana are on red warnings for heavy rainfall that could accumulate up to 180 liters per square meter in one hour until Wednesday (today) at 3pm.

The rest of Mallorca and Menorca have the orange warning activated for strong or very strong rainfall which could accumulate up to 50 liters per square meter in one hour or reach 100 liters in twelve hours, while Ibiza and Formentera are on yellow alert.
