Person survives crashing through barrier and plummeting eight metres only to die after opening door and falling to death on Spain’s Costa del Sol

A PERSON has been killed after falling down a slope following a car crash on the Costa del Sol. 

The vehicle came into trouble on the A-387 road in Mijas yesterday when it crashed through a barrier and plummeted around eight metres.

According to emergency services 112, a call came in at around 11am to warn of the car’s accident and to report that the driver was still trapped in the inside.

Firefighters and Guardia Civil rushed to the scene, however the person died when they tried to get out of the vehicle and fell to their death.

Police have only confirmed that someone died, refusing to give out any more information.

The nationality of the driver is not known.
