SPAIN has remained top of the latest world football rankings published by FIFA.

The Furia Roja stayed ahead of closest rivals Brazil, the Netherlands and Italy in the recent standings.

Despite their lead over second-placed Samba kings Brazil being cut by 11 points, the current European Champions are still ahead by a safe margin.

And ahead of Spain’s friendly against France in Paris, goalkeeper Iker Casillas revealed he would exchange his 101-cap haul for a World Cup title this summer.

Meanwhile, Fabio Capello-led England moved up to eighth place in the rankings after swapping places with South American rivals Argentina.
