Slithering inland…

UNTIL now, they were only found on the Rock of Gibraltar.

However, a rare species of snail – the ‘acicula norrisi’ has been found in the Genal Valley, close to Ronda.

A team of ecologists stumbled over the slippery specimens whose population numbers are thought to be dangerously low.

Hopefully there’s still life left in the slimy slugs.
