Wendy WilliamsGLOBETROTTING tennis ace Rafael Nadal will have to do without the support of girlfriend Xisca Perello for a year after she traded sleepy Mallorca for the bright lights of London.
The elusive 23-year-old, who has kept a low profile since her relationship with the world number two began in 2005, will study business management and English in the UK.
The move is the next step in the camera-shy brunette’s studies after she graduated from the University of Palma with a degree in Business Administration.
“Rafael and I will be seeing less of each other from now on,” admitted the Spanish beauty, whose full name is Maria Francisca Perello.
However, the childhood sweethearts are used to being apart as a result of Nadal’s relentless tour schedule.
Xisca is far from dependent on her man having previously worked for insurance firm Mapfre.
“She has her own life and is financially independent,” said an acquaintance.
“She and Rafa don’t spend their lives joint at the hip.”
Nadal will have one less reason to visit his girlfriend in London next year following the recent announcement that he will not be playing the Queen’s Club tournament in 2012.

I agree, men like Rafael Nadal don’t come around very often, it must be hard for both of them, besides Rafael doesn’t seem the clingy type’ either, committed to his sport is whats come natural to him, I am sure they’ll be fine, London isn’t America its just an hour or so from sunny Spain, looks like they are both career focused and thats good and healthy..
Years ago Rafael was not keen for Xisca to follow him anyway! a contrast from Nole who is getting married soon I believe.
Such Publicity. She’s learning English and Business Management,because soon she’s managing an English school in Mallorca which will be put up by Rafa. Of course she has been dependent on Rafa on many counts. Ever since she was publicly known there are very careful press release about her which is kind of unnecessary or maybe for Rafa’s sake, it is. Somehow people feel the shallowness of it all.

Actually, does she not be called Mary as opposed to Xisca unless that is just a media conjecture? I think it is really none of our business but I must say I very much respect their modesty and their insistent privacy. She is beautiful, but let’s face it he isn’t bad either, LOL
