Vueling introduce flights from Cardiff to Spain

BUDGET Spanish airline Vueling has announced three new weekly services between Cardiff and Alicante, and Cardiff and Mallorca, for June 2012.

The routes are in addition to the Cardiff to Barcelona service that is set to launch in March.

“This opens up closer business and tourism links between Wales and Spain, bringing benefits to both countries,” said Welsh Business Minister Edwina Hart.

  1. I HOPE THAT THE FLIGHTS ARE GOING TO BE CHEAP AS BMI FROM CARDIFF AS AS MY WIFE AND I HAVE TO KEEP GOING TO BRISTOL WHY ON EARTH CANT C.W.L AIRPORT GET THERE ACT SORTED AND GET A COMPANY IN THE PEOPLE OF WALES DON’T NEED TO GO TO BRISTOL WHEN WE HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON OUR DOOR STEP THEIR A JOKE THE PEOPLE RUNNING CARDIFF AIRPORT AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED ITS A SHAME. PLEASE GET IT SORTED YOUR LOOSING SO MUCH MONEY AND GOOD CUSTOMERS THANKS P.WILLIS

  2. I fly 3 times a year to Alicante. I cheered the news of Vueling’s arrival, but after checking their fares I find that it costs almost £200 more for my wife and I to fly with them than going to Manchester and flying Monarch. We shall continue to travel to relatives near Manchester and go from there. Also, the flight outward needs a change of planes at Barcelona, stretching the flight time to about 5 hours. Come on Vueling and Cardiff airport, there are thousands of passengers waiting for you, but not at these prices and services.

  3. BMIBaby have gone. They were losing money at an alarming rate and now people here are hoping that airlines copy their fare structures – are you mad ?

Vueling flights from Cardiff to Alicante, Barcelona and Palma started from £29-00 e/w including taxes. Obviously when the flights started to fill up prices go up-every airline does that. If you leave it late to book you always have to pay more, that’s how the system works.

Airlines set the fares and not the airports Mr Isaac and before you say Cardiff fees are more expensive, they are not !!

In 2013 Vueling will be operating to Malaga 3 times a week so we will see now how many people will support a service to Cardiff.
