One wonders how the tuna could have been “released” Wouldn’t they have been a bit dead? In which case the “quota system” is shown once more to be a nonsense.
Agreed Stefanjo – “released” is a EU polit-speak for dumping DEAD fish back in the Sea. With so many starving poeple in the World, you’d think our EU leaders would have a more practical approach to dealing with any fish catch that exceeded EU quotas thru no fault of the fishermen. But then we have to look at the fishing industry experience, knowledge and personal accountability of the unelected EU Officers who set such fishing policy.. and many others.
