THE body of a drowned man was discovered on the edge of the beach in Estepona in the early morning hours of Monday.
Various people alerted emergency services of the sighting of the body at approximately 1:40 am Monday morning.
The man appeared to be in his fifties and was confirmed to be well-known in Estepona.
The cause of death appears to be drowning.
UPDATE: It has emerged that the man was 55 years old, was found wearing a bathing suit, and had been seen by a neighbor earlier that evening in a nearby bar.
